Coronavirus information

30th March 2020

Dear Parents / Carers,

Re: Home Learning

Last week, as you are aware, our pupils took home a range of activities to support home learning whilst they are not at school. This included, a reminder of the children’s logins, in regards to MyMaths, Bug Club and Purple Mash. In addition to this, we have uploaded some very useful information on to the school website for families who would like to support their children at home.

These are:

https://www.nhs.uk/change4life/activities and https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/supermovers

Offer code: UKTWINKLHELPS

We ask that you visit the school website (Children: Home Learning) for regular updates as this will be the main method of communication between teachers and pupils. The teachers have shown pupils where to find their home learning materials.

Our staff will be uploading a regular timetable which will outline activities in suggested time slots. This should help to keep the home learning as consistent as possible with the routine of the school day; but if in doubt read alone, read to, read with!

These are unprecedented times and we really appreciate all your efforts to support the children at home.

If you have any queries please email the office or ring and we will get back to you when we can.

Yours sincerely,

Alison Small

Dear Parent/Carer,

As you are aware, the school has been following Public Health England and Hounslow Local Authority Advice on the Coronavirus and we will continue to do this.  Following the update from The Prime Minister last night, school remains open and we will continue with usual school activities.  Risk assessments will regularly be conducted.

The main advice has changed slightly.

If you or your child feels unwell with fever or a new persistent dry cough, please self-isolate for 7 days.  Use the NHS 111 health line for further advice. Please inform the school via telephone.  Should the advice change, school will text parents. Advice is to carry on as usual.

We know this is a worrying time, please be reassured. If a school closure is announced in coming weeks or days, school has plans for distance learning for the children.  Again more details of this will be on the website or sent home with the children.

The following website and email is available from 8am-6pm Monday to Friday if you have any concerns.
